The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DGCE) Western Sumatra recorded state revenue of 1.76 trillion rupiah for the period January to September 2025. This represents a 171.94 percent year‑on‑year increase over the same period in 2024. The growth reflects heightened customs activity in the Lampung and Bengkulu regions.
Export duties contributed the most at 1.51 trillion rupiah, followed by import duties of 227 billion rupiah and excise of 14 billion rupiah. Audits, re‑examinations and ultimate remedies added another 18.75 billion rupiah, while 841 enforcement actions seized illegal cigarettes, alcoholic beverages, and various narcotics and prohibited drugs. Enforcement was carried out in coordination with the Attorney General’s Office, police, armed forces, national narcotics agency, intelligence, and the provincial governments of Lampung and Bengkulu.
The result aligns with the national development vision under President Prabowo Subianto and supports Asta Cita 7, which aims to boost state revenue. Higher receipts strengthen the fiscal base for human‑resource development programs. The achievement also underscores the customs authority’s role in safeguarding economic security and protecting the public from illegal goods.
