Jakarta, 14 December 2025 – Economy Minister Airlangga Hartarto said business actors and investors share a positive outlook for Indonesia’s economy in 2026. He made the remarks at a Sunday press briefing.
The optimism is reflected in 24 companies that listed on the stock exchange this year, with 13 more in the IPO pipeline, including seven large firms. Hartarto said upside risk (potential growth) appears stronger than downside risk and set a 5.4 % growth target for 2026.
He urged the government to deepen trade cooperation, finalize the IEU‑CEPA agreement expected to take effect in 2027, and accelerate OECD accession. Year‑end stimulus measures such as transport ticket discounts, the EPIC Sale, Harbolnas and BINA programmes are intended to boost consumer spending and support economic growth.
