Sumedang Regent Urges Bapenda to Reach Rp1 Trillion PAD 2029
December 4, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

Sumedang Deputy Regent M Fajar Aldila has asked the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) to raise the district’s own‑source revenue (PAD) from untapped objects. He highlighted tax potential in apartment rentals, premium boarding houses, modern culinary businesses, digital advertising, and services in the Jatinangor area.
Aldila said tax collection in these sectors should be reinforced with a real‑time transaction system for hotels, restaurants, parking and other services. He also urged better use of non‑productive assets such as parking land, buildings and the Jatigede Dam tourism area to boost PAD.
The district targets a PAD of Rp1 trillion by 2029, viewing it as essential for fiscal independence and faster infrastructure development. Achieving the goal is expected to improve public services and living standards for residents.
