Jakarta, 28 November 2025 – PT Pertamina (Persero) is bolstering its upstream (exploration and production) segment by releasing the performance of seven upstream subsidiaries that dominate national oil‑and‑gas output. The units include Exxon Mobil Cepu Ltd, Pertamina Hulu Rokan, Pertamina EP and others. Vice President of Corporate Communication Muhammad Baron reaffirmed the company’s commitment to raise production.
By October 2025, the combined output of the seven units reached 1.032 million barrels of oil equivalent (about 1 million barrels per day), accounting for 69 % of Indonesia’s oil and 37 % of gas production. Individual daily rates range from 153,900 barrels (Exxon Mobil Cepu Ltd) to 13,105 barrels (Pertamina Hulu Sanga‑Sanga). Pertamina’s dual‑growth strategy focuses on legacy oil‑gas business while accelerating low‑carbon energy transition.
The results back Indonesia’s energy self‑sufficiency goal and the 2060 net‑zero emission target, reinforcing national energy security. Pertamina also embeds ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles across its operations. The company aims to sustain production above one million barrels per day through continued innovation.
