Jakarta, 6 December 2025 – Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, said the government is determined to deepen quality investment cooperation with China. He noted that the two economies have complementary strengths.
Indonesia brings abundant natural resources, stable economic growth, and a large productive‑age population, while China contributes advanced technology, sophisticated manufacturing, and extensive business networks. The two economic ecosystems (interconnected economic systems) are seen as able to boost strategic‑sector investment.
Cooperation is expected to target downstream silica processing, photovoltaic technology (solar‑panel), semiconductors, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, high‑grade stainless steel, and electric‑vehicle battery ecosystems. Authorities hope the partnership will raise innovation, competitiveness, and sustainable economic growth.
