JAKARTA, Dec 3, 2025 – The Deputy Finance Minister said the accounting profession is becoming increasingly essential to support fiscal policies that respond to domestic and global economic changes. He made the remarks at a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Accountants are seen as vital for ensuring trust and accountability of state financial data, which underpins long‑term economic development. Accounting standards that incorporate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and sustainability principles are expected to aid fiscal distribution, allocation, and stabilization functions.
The profession is viewed as crucial to achieving the Indonesia Emas 2045 vision of a prosperous, competitive nation. Accurate and transparent financial reports enable investors and policymakers to make better decisions.
