Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said the non‑oil manufacturing sector grew 5.58% year‑on‑year in the third quarter of 2025, outpacing national economic growth of 5.04%.
BPS data shows manufacturing contributed 17.39% of GDP in Q3, up 0.47 percentage points from the previous quarter. The expansion was driven by strong domestic and export demand, with food‑beverage (+6.49%), basic metals (+18.62%), chemicals & pharmaceuticals (+11.65%), machinery (+11.74%) and other processing (+16.30%) subsectors leading the rise.
Manufacturing’s share of overall economic growth was 1.13 percentage points YoY, underscoring its role as a primary engine of employment and value‑added output. The ministry will sustain momentum through the New National Industrialization Strategy, local content optimization, halal industry development, and green industry transformation.
