Coordinator for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said Indonesia’s economy expanded 5.04 percent year‑on‑year in the third quarter of 2025. The growth outpaced China’s 4.8 percent rate.
The rise was driven by strong household consumption, investment and exports. BPS data show consumption contributed 53.14 percent of GDP and grew 4.89 percent, while gross fixed capital formation added 29.09 percent.
The result underscores economic resilience amid global uncertainty, and the IMF described Indonesia as a “bright spot”. The government will sustain momentum through industrial downstreaming, higher national spending, and stronger social protection programmes.
