Government Disburses Additional BLT Worth Rp18 Trillion

Jakarta – The Ministry of Finance said that additional direct cash assistance (BLT) totalling Rp18 trillion has been paid out to eligible households. The disbursement covers 35.05 million families in income deciles 1 to 4.

Recipients in the lowest two deciles receive the payment directly, while those in deciles three and four collect the funds through post offices. The program is financed by budget items that were not fully utilized, including cuts to the free nutritious meals (MBG) scheme, and allocates Rp900,000 per household.

Finance Minister Purbaya said the BLT, together with other stimulus measures, is expected to help achieve a 5.5 % economic growth in Q4 2025. Tax revenues, which provide about 70 % of the state budget, are being reallocated to more productive uses.
