Finance Ministry Reviews Rp200 Trillion Himbara Placement
November 10, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

On 10 November 2025, the Ministry of Finance announced it will evaluate the placement of Rp200 trillion of government funds in Himbara banks (state-owned banks). The ministry highlighted the speed of fund disbursement as a key performance indicator.
Bank Mandiri and BRI have already disbursed their full allocations, while BNI has disbursed Rp37.4 trillion (68%), BSI Rp9.9 trillion (99%), and BTN Rp10.3 trillion (41%). The low cost of funds at 3.8 % has accelerated credit issuance, but the ministry seeks to assess the policy before any additional injection.
The evaluation will decide whether further fund injection is needed, which could affect credit availability for businesses and the overall cost of funding in the banking sector. The outcome will be considered in supporting economic growth and fiscal stability.
