Central Jakarta Tax Office Holds Meet The Market for UMKM

On 30 October 2025, the Central Jakarta Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) organized a Meet The Market event. The event aimed to support the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) in Central Jakarta.

Meet The Market is a component of Business Development Services (BDS) that offered four training classes to curated culinary UMKM participants. The DJP also highlighted a tax facility: turnover up to IDR 500 million is exempt from tax, while a final tax rate of 0.5 % applies to turnover above that amount up to IDR 4.8 billion.

The program seeks to raise participants’ sales, product quality and market access, and to serve as a model for similar initiatives nationwide. DJP officials noted that success in one region can strengthen public confidence in the tax authority.
