Airlangga Confirms Middle-Class Stimulus Through End of 2025

Economy Minister Airlangga Hartarto assured that stimulus measures for the middle‑class population will continue until the end of 2025. The statement was made in Jakarta on Friday, 7 November 2025.

The stimulus includes a government‑funded Personal Income Tax Article 21 (PPh 21) exemption for employees in the tourism and labor‑intensive manufacturing sectors, and a direct cash assistance (BLT) for households in the fourth income decile. The tax exemption applies to permanent staff earning up to Rp10 million gross annually or temporary workers with daily wages not exceeding Rp500 thousand.

The government allocated an additional BLT of Rp900 thousand per recipient for 35.05 million households, costing Rp31.5 trillion, and confirmed that no further incentives will be introduced before year‑end.
