ADB Raises Indonesia Economic Growth Forecast for 2025‑2026

The Asian Development Bank announced on 10 December 2025 that Indonesia’s GDP growth forecast for 2025 has been raised to 5 % and to 5.1 % for 2026. The revision appears in the December 2025 edition of the Asian Development Outlook.
The upward adjustment reflects stronger third‑quarter exports to China, ASEAN, the United States and the European Union, as well as manufacturing expansion indicated by a PMI above 50. Accelerated government spending in the same quarter also supported growth, although investment and household consumption remain moderate.
The higher outlook signals a more favorable environment for fiscal and monetary policy, while inflation is projected at 2.5 % in 2026, modestly above the bank’s earlier estimate. Price stability is expected to sustain consumer purchasing power and investment confidence.
