South Jakarta Tax Office head Dionysius Lucas Hendrawan announced at a public tax forum held at the Artotel Suites Mangkuluhur in Jakarta on 10 November 2025 that taxpayer refunds will be fully honored in 2025.

By 31 October 2025 the office had disbursed refunds totaling IDR 6.02 trillion, while tax revenue reached IDR 103.64 trillion, representing 75.62 % of the 2025 APBN target of IDR 112.73 trillion. The Directorate highlighted global economic slowdown, commodity price volatility, geopolitical uncertainty and climate change as challenges, and promoted compliance through the Coretax platform and the new Taxpayers Charter.

The pledge aims to preserve government cash liquidity and provide certainty for taxpayers, encouraging timely filing of annual tax returns. The Taxpayers Charter, which outlines eight taxpayer rights, is expected to strengthen trust between the tax authority and taxpayers.
