Finance Ministry Guarantees APBN Support for Disaster Recovery

JAKARTA – The Finance Ministry said it will provide state financial support to accelerate recovery in disaster‑hit regions, including Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra, by the end of 2025. The statement was made by Deputy Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara on Wednesday, 14 December 2025.

The assistance includes regional transfers (TKD), local government spending and adjustments to the 2026 state budget (APBN). The policy is anchored in the ministry’s five core values—integrity, professionalism, synergy, service and perfection—that guide public finance management.

The measures will be applied nationwide, not only to the three provinces, to strengthen fiscal resilience and speed economic recovery after disasters. The ministry also aims to complete financial reporting and cash closure for fiscal year 2025.
