Palangka Raya Tax Office Raids 70 Vehicles with Unpaid Tax
October 30, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

The integrated tax office team of Palangka Raya City conducted a joint operation on 30 October 2025. Out of 862 vehicles inspected, 70 units—four cars and 66 motorcycles—were found to have unpaid Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB).
PKB is an annual tax that vehicle owners must pay. The operation aimed to boost taxpayer compliance and reduce the total arrears, which now exceed Rp34 million. A mobile tax office (Samsat) was deployed so owners could settle the tax on site.
The 70 vehicle owners paid roughly Rp15 million through the mobile service. Officials noted the cooperative response and said similar raids will be carried out periodically at strategic locations. PKB revenue plays an important role in regional development funding.
