Finance Ministry Gains Rp496.77 Billion from Duty Oversight

Jakarta, 8 December 2025 – Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa reported that the Ministry of Finance collected Rp496.77 billion from export duty oversight for the period January to November 2025. The amount includes all revenue linked to monitoring export commodities subject to export duties.

This figure represents a sharp rise from Rp191.54 billion in 2023 and Rp477.96 billion in 2024, indicating improved oversight performance. Most of the revenue stems from the issuance of correction notes, while DJBC audits contributed Rp163.08 million and re‑examination activities generated Rp8.62 billion.

The minister highlighted that stronger administrative supervision and higher exporter compliance are crucial for preserving state revenue. She also outlined four common smuggling methods: administrative errors in export declarations, inter‑island disguise, mixing illegal with legal goods, and exporting without official documents.
