The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) collected tax receivables amounting to IDR 14.71 trillion throughout 2024. This represents a 7.22% increase from IDR 13.72 trillion in 2023 and stems from 2.82 million enforcement actions.
Enforcement actions included issuing warning letters (surat teguran), forced collection letters (surat paksa), Seizure Orders (SPMP, court‑authorized asset seizure), bank account blocks, auctioning seized goods, and preventing taxpayers from moving assets abroad. These actions generated IDR 5.91 trillion from warning letters, IDR 6.60 trillion from forced letters, IDR 683.44 billion from SPMP, IDR 722.49 billion from account blocks, IDR 734.11 billion from auctions, and IDR 51.94 billion from asset‑prevention measures.
The receivable collection boosts the state treasury and reflects the DJP’s enforcement effectiveness. DJP confirmed it does not employ hostage‑taking tactics against taxpayers.
