West Kalimantan Offers PKB Fine Waiver Until 20 Dec 2025

Residents of West Kalimantan, especially in Pontianak, can take advantage of motor vehicle tax (PKB) discounts and fine waivers until 20 December 2025. The scheme runs for the next three weeks. It is stipulated in Governor Regulation No.

The regulation lists seven relief measures, including PKB fine and option fee waivers, progressive tax exemption for second and subsequent vehicles, free second‑vehicle transfer fee (BBNKB II), a 5 % discount for owners without arrears, and 50 % or 40 % discounts for vehicles with four‑ or five‑year tax arrears. The incentives aim to update vehicle data and boost PKB compliance. All regional revenue service units will implement the program.

Taxpayers benefit from lower administrative costs and avoided penalties, facilitating tax settlement. The regional government expects higher compliance to raise local tax revenues. The program ends on 20 December 2025.
