Customs Agency Aims for Rp336 Trillion 2026 Revenue, Adds Export

The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) said it is optimistic about reaching a customs and excise revenue target of Rp336 trillion for fiscal year 2026. The comment was made by Communication Director Dwi Heryanto in Jakarta on 13 December 2025. The target includes income from the newly introduced export duties on gold and coal.
The Rp336 trillion goal exceeds the 2025 state budget target of Rp301.59 trillion and the outlook of Rp310.35 trillion. To boost revenue, the government will levy an export duty on gold under Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) No 80/2025, with rates of 12.5‑15 % for dore and 7.5‑12.5 % for other forms. The coal export duty is still being drafted.
The additional revenue is intended to help close the 2026 budget deficit. Export duties are calculated ad valorem (a percentage of the export price) and take effect on 23 December 2025, requiring exporters to adjust pricing. The measure directly affects mining companies and gold traders.
