Tax Rate Dec 3-9: Rupiah Gains vs USD, EUR Weakens

The tax exchange rate for the week of 3‑9 December 2025 was set by the Finance Minister under Decision No. 27/MK/EF.2/2025. The rupiah strengthened to Rp16,671 per US $, down from Rp16,738 the week before.

Rates were also published for the Australian dollar (Rp10,847.69), Malaysian ringgit (Rp4,031.55), Singapore dollar (Rp12,827.64) and the euro (Rp19,298.12). Each rate moved up or down relative to the prior week and serves as the basis for VAT, luxury‑goods tax and import duty payments.

These adjustments affect businesses and individual taxpayers with cross‑border transactions, as tax liabilities are calculated using the weekly rate. Detailed data can be accessed through the DDTC tax‑rate portal for reporting purposes.
