The West Java II Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes detained MW, a commissioner and shareholder of PT SI, at Jakarta Women’s Prison Class IIA on 12 December 2025. The detention follows an outstanding tax liability of IDR 21.15 billion.

The debt has remained unpaid since 2021 and is accompanied by Tax Assessment Notices (Surat Ketetapan Pajak) for the 2022‑2023 fiscal years. Prior to detention, the Cikarang Selatan Tax Office carried out multiple collection steps—warning letters, forced letters, account blocking, and overseas transfer prevention—under the Tax Collection Act with Forced Letter (PPSP), which permits seizure of taxpayers owing at least IDR 100 million.

The detention may last up to six months, extendable by another six months, aiming for repayment of the tax debt and collection costs. The case serves as a reminder for taxpayers to fulfill obligations promptly.
