Tax Authority Delays December Leave to Meet 2025 Revenue Target

Director General of Taxation Bumo Wijayanto issued Official Memorandum No. ND-338/PJ/PJ01/2025 on 2 December 2025, directing all DJP staff to postpone annual leave throughout December 2025 to safeguard the fiscal year‑end revenue target.

The postponement coincides with the DJP 2024 Annual Report, which recorded 112 tax‑crime cases, 59 involving false Tax Return (SPT) filings, and identified 463 palm‑oil taxpayers under‑invoicing exports (declaring lower export values). DJP urges correction of returns, especially in the palm‑oil sector.

Finance Minister Purbaya rejected CEO Danantara Rosan Perkasa Roeslani's request for tax relief for certain state‑owned enterprises, emphasizing tax compliance while remaining optimistic about a 5.5 % GDP growth in Q4 2025. The measures underline the government's focus on revenue collection and economic stability.
