Tangerang City Offers 10 Percent BPHTB Discount Ahead of Year-End

Tangerang City in Banten will apply a 10 percent discount on the Land and Building Acquisition Duty (BPHTB) starting 10 December 2025. The measure targets property buyers before year‑end.

The discount is part of a BPHTB relaxation program aimed at easing taxpayers’ burden and accelerating local tax collection. Mayor Sachrudin and Revenue Head Kiki Wibhawa highlighted its role in closing the 2025 budget gap.

BPHTB revenue has reached Rp593 billion, leaving a shortfall of Rp27 billion against the Rp620 billion target. The 10‑percent discount is expected to help bridge this gap and support investment in Tangerang.
