The National Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Indonesian Police urged the public to use digital technology for paying motor vehicle tax (PKB). Police Chief Agus Suryonugroho announced this during a hearing with DPR Commission III on 29 November 2025 in Jakarta.
Signal, the National Digital Samsat platform, integrates police vehicle registration data, civil registry data from the Ministry of Home Affairs, and provincial tax office systems to enable online annual STNK validation, PKB payment, and SWDKLLJ contributions. Simplifying the process aims to raise tax compliance.
To date, the app has been downloaded 13.4 million times with 7.22 million active accounts, indicating broad adoption. Korlantas also expands digital services such as the Sinar app for driver’s license processing.
