Regulations for Canceling Export Notification of Goods
December 13, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

Indonesia's Customs Authority issued regulations for cancelling Export Notification (PEB) effective 1 January 2025. The rules set the procedure for exporters who need to withdraw a previously submitted notification.
Cancellation is permitted when orders are cancelled, data errors are identified, or shipment routes change. Exporters must submit a written request with supporting documents such as buyer’s cancellation letter and payment proof to the customs office within seven working days of the decision.
The regulation provides legal certainty, reduces administrative burden, and prevents penalties for non‑compliant exporters. Stricter oversight is expected to improve the accuracy of Indonesia’s foreign trade statistics.
