Jakarta South II Tax Office Pushes Coretax Activation for 2026
November 28, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

The Jakarta South II Tax Office is accelerating outreach to activate Coretax accounts ahead of the 2025 annual tax return filing period, which will take place in 2026. Acting Head of Public Relations Sisca Mirela Juniati emphasized the need for taxpayers to prepare for the new system.
Coretax replaces the DJP Online application and requires taxpayers to activate an account and obtain a signing code. Common obstacles include mismatched National Identification Numbers (NIK) with tax IDs (NPWP) and outdated email addresses, prompting the office to conduct seminars, partner with nine Tax Centers, and advise visits to the nearest tax service office.
As monthly activation numbers rise, both individual taxpayers and employers are expected to complete the process to enable employee data validation before issuing withholding certificates. The transition aims to improve tax compliance and service quality in the Jakarta South II region.
