Jakarta Province Waives PKB and BBNKB Penalties Until End-2025

Jakarta Province officially removed administrative penalties for PKB (Motor Vehicle Tax) and BBNKB (Vehicle Transfer Fee) for all motor vehicles. The waiver is effective from 10 November to 31 December 2025 at all DKI Jakarta Samsat offices.

Head of the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) issued Decision No e-0104/2025, which applies the exemption automatically without a request; the regional tax system updates records so taxpayers pay only the principal tax. The measure aims to ease the financial burden of late payers and boost tax compliance.

Implementation through the SIGNAL (National Digital Samsat) app enables online payments at any time, reducing queues at offices. Authorities expect higher regional tax receipts and an economic stimulus toward year‑end.
