Indonesia Tax Authority Launches NIK‑NPWP Portal v2 and SPT

Jakarta – The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) issued Circular No. PENG 48/PJ.09/2025 on 4 December 2025, announcing a version‑2 NIK‑NPWP matching portal and a guided Coretax simulator for annual personal income tax (SPT) filing. The announcement was reiterated on 13 December 2025.

The portal enables mass validation and registration of citizens’ National Identification Numbers (NIK) for employers, allowing them to generate Form 21 tax withholding certificates without a temporary Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP). The simulator provides step‑by‑step guidance, dummy data and scenario explanations to help employee taxpayers complete their SPT correctly.

These tools aim to streamline tax reporting for both employers and individual taxpayers ahead of the filing deadline, reducing manual errors and supporting compliance. Guides for using the portal and simulator are available for download on the DGT website.
