The Indonesian Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) announced that in 2024 it exchanged tax‑related information with partner jurisdictions under the Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) framework. The exchange covered three categories: withholding‑tax data, Country‑by‑Country reports (CbCR) and Common Reporting Standard (CRS) financial information.

For withholding‑tax, DJP received data from six jurisdictions and sent data to seven jurisdictions. Regarding CbCR, it obtained reports from 58 jurisdictions and transmitted reports to 44 jurisdictions. In the CRS stream, DJP received financial account data from 98 jurisdictions and shared information with 83 jurisdictions.

These exchanges enable tax authorities to detect cross‑border tax avoidance and improve compliance. DJP also reported that, as of 31 December 2024, 8,713 financial institutions were registered to report customer information under CRS.
