Grand Major Packaging Secures Bonded Zone Permit to Defer Duties

On 6 November 2025, Grand Major Packaging Indonesia, a manufacturer of aluminium‑foil packaging, was granted a Bonded Zone permit by the Jakarta Customs Office. The permit was presented symbolically by the Jakarta Customs Regional Head, Akhmad Rofiq.

A Bonded Zone is a customs facility that allows companies to defer import duties and taxes on raw materials, as stipulated in Finance Ministry Regulation No 65/PMK.04/2021 and Customs Director General Regulation No PER‑9/BC/2021.

Deferring duties reduces production costs and enhances the firm’s competitiveness in global markets. The measure is expected to bolster the manufacturing sector’s contribution to Indonesia’s economic growth.
