DJP Urges Palm Oil Producers to Amend Tax Returns Promptly
December 6, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) on 6 December 2025 urged taxpayers in the palm oil sector and its derivatives to promptly amend their tax returns (SPT). The call targets all registered businesses operating in Indonesia.
DGT identified 463 taxpayers engaging in under‑invoicing by declaring exported Crude Palm Oil (CPO) as fatty matter or Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME). After the amendment, DGT will conduct clarification, and failure to cooperate may lead to enforcement actions.
The measure aims to boost tax compliance, improve state revenue, and enhance the global competitiveness of the palm oil industry. The Finance Minister affirmed that the government will foster a fair business environment and provide support to operators.
