DJP Urges Bankers to Activate Coretax for 2025 Tax Returns

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) invited banks that are members of Himbara and Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) to a Coretax activation briefing on 13 December 2025. The event is part of DGT’s preparation for the 2025 annual tax return filing, which will shift to the Coretax platform from 2026.

Coretax is an integrated system that consolidates internal and external tax data and requires taxpayers to register an account, activate it, and create an electronic authorization code/e‑certificate (KO/SE) that serves as a digital signature. During the briefing, DGT staff demonstrated the registration and activation steps and warned against fraudsters offering fake Coretax application installations.

The rollout is expected to simplify tax filing and enable more effective monitoring, including of spouses whose filings can now be linked through their National Identification Number (NIK). Taxpayers may practice filing using the DGT’s online SPT simulation portal.
