DJP to Issue Evidence for 282 Under‑Invoicing CPO and POME
November 6, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) will enforce tax law against 282 taxpayers suspected of under‑invoicing crude palm oil (CPO) and its derivatives. Among them, 25 taxpayers declared CPO as fatty matter, while 257 listed the product as palm oil mill effluent (POME). Enforcement will begin after initial evidence is gathered.
Tax Director Bimo Wijayanto stated that the detected transactions total roughly IDR 2.08 trillion, with an estimated tax loss of about IDR 140 billion. Four of the 25 taxpayers—PT MMS and three affiliates—have already undergone preliminary examinations. POME is a processing waste priced at IDR 9,000‑11,000 per kilogram, far below the value of CPO derivatives.
DJP has reported the findings to the Finance Minister and will submit initial evidence and investigations for all 282 taxpayers. The action aims to improve export compliance and close tax‑avoidance gaps in the palm‑oil sector.
