The DJP Central Java II office and 17 regional governments held a coordination meeting in Yogyakarta on 4 November 2025. The gathering follows the 2025 Cooperation Agreement for Optimizing Central and Regional Tax Collection (PKS OP4D). It aims to strengthen tax data exchange and joint supervision.

DJP Central Java II head Teguh Budiharto noted that tax accounts for 72.8 % or IDR 2,189 trillion of total state revenue in the 2025 budget. In 2024, the office collected IDR 14.6 trillion, a portion of which is transferred to regions, making collaboration essential. The partnership covers data sharing, joint taxpayer monitoring, Taxpayer Status Confirmation (KSWP), and staff capacity building.

Auditor coordinator Joko Mulyono of BPKP said higher central tax receipts will increase transfers to regions and boost local own‑source revenue. For example, Purbalingga identified untapped restaurant tax using the Joint Supervision Target List, and Surakarta reported higher specific goods and services tax after joint field visits. DJP Central Java II also urged all regions to register for Coretax and obtain an Authorization Code for the 2026 tax return filing.
