DJP Appoints Five Foreign Firms as PMSE VAT Collectors

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) has appointed five foreign firms as collectors of value‑added tax (VAT) on electronic marketplace transactions (PMSE). The appointment, announced on 4 December 2025, includes Roblox Corporation, Notion Labs, Inc., Mixpanel, Inc., MEGA Privacy Kft and Scorpios Tech FZE.

At the same time, DGT removed Amazon Services Europe S.a.r.l. from the list of PMSE VAT collectors. The combined changes bring the total number of designated PMSE operators to 251, of which 207 are already collecting and remitting the 12 % VAT, amounting to Rp8.54 trillion in contributions by 31 October 2025.

The move underscores the government's aim to tax the digital sector in a fair, simple and effective manner, while boosting state revenue from foreign digital services. PMSE VAT applies to providers with annual transactions above Rp600 million or more than 12,000 visits per year in Indonesia.
