The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) together with the Directorate General of Minerals and Coal (Ditjen Minerba) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources held a briefing on work plans, budgets and tax compliance on 28 November 2025 in Jakarta. The event attracted 1,800 mining taxpayers, with 800 attending in person and 1,000 joining online.
The briefing highlighted data integration by linking the Minerba One application to DJP’s Coretax system and introduced a tax‑clearance requirement when companies submit their work plan and budget (RKAB). These measures aim to strengthen oversight and make tax compliance a prerequisite for mining operations.
Director General of Taxes Bimo Wijayanto noted that the mining sector contributes about 20‑25 % of state revenue, with mineral tax receipts rising from IDR 4 trillion in 2016 to IDR 45 trillion in 2024. An average 3 % annual increase in the number of taxpayers underscores the importance of sustained compliance to support the State Budget.
