DJBC Stops 87 Fatty Matter Containers Over Suspected
November 7, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

On 7 November 2025, Indonesia’s Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) stopped the export of 87 containers containing fatty matter, a derivative of crude palm oil. The cargo weighed a total of 1,802 tonnes and was valued at roughly Rp28.7 billion.
DJBC said the shipment did not correspond with the filed Export Goods Notification (PEB), creating a risk of state revenue loss. Joint inspections by the Bogor Agricultural Institute and the police task force revealed signs of under‑invoicing, where the declared value is lower than the actual value.
The action underscores the fiscal authority’s effort to safeguard tax revenues and enforce compliance among palm‑oil exporters. Companies are advised to ensure accurate export documentation to avoid similar enforcement actions.
