Customs Authority Automates Quota Cuts for Duty‑Exempt Imports
November 6, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

Indonesia's Customs authority issued Decision KEP‑208/BC/2025 mandating automatic quota cuts for duty‑exempt imports. The rule applies to all main customs service offices (KPUBC) and customs supervision and service offices (KPPBC) beginning 4 November 2025.
The automatic cuts are processed through the CEISA 4.0 portal (customs information system). Following pilot trials at selected offices, the authority concluded the system is ready for nationwide rollout to speed up duty‑exemption applications.
The measure covers four exemption schemes under PMK 176/2009‑188/2015, PMK 66/2015, PMK 217/2019 and PMK 218/2019‑172/2022. Should technical issues arise, quota cuts may be performed manually to maintain import flow.
