Coretax Expected to Reach Full Government Control by Dec 2025

Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa announced that the Coretax system will be fully operational once the government takes complete control on 15 December 2025. The comment was made during a hearing of the House’s Commission XI on 27 November 2025.

The Directorate General of Taxes has carried out system upgrades and load‑testing, including a simultaneous submission of 25,000 tax withholding certificates that were processed successfully. Tests recorded a throughput of 3,327 transactions per minute and an average latency of 1.2 seconds, indicating stable performance.

To manage the handover, the tax authority formed a task force of 24 programmers who completed a month‑long intensive boot‑camp. Full government control is expected to speed up issuance of withholding certificates and tax invoices, directly benefiting taxpayers.
