Coretax DGT Requires Account Activation for 2025 Tax Returns
December 10, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) launched Coretax DGT on 1 January 2025 as a centralized platform for administering tax rights and obligations. Starting with the 2025 Annual Tax Return filing, all taxpayers, including employees, must activate a Coretax DGT account and register an authorization code or digital certificate.
By November 2025, 5.73 million taxpayers had activated their accounts, while the target population stands at 14.78 million. DGT is delivering extensive education through tax offices, digital channels, and partnerships with ministries, business associations, and universities to address technical issues, mismatched ID‑tax numbers, and limited internet access. Activation assistance is offered via a helpdesk, the Kring Pajak 1500200 hotline, and on‑site guidance.
Account activation and KO/certificate registration are mandatory before 1 January 2026, with no policy relaxation announced. The integrated system enables faster, secure filing and supports a prepopulated feature that shows verified taxpayer data.
