Coretax Adds Billing Code Cancellation Feature

The Directorate General of Taxes added a billing code cancellation feature to the Coretax system effective 1 December 2025. The feature lets taxpayers cancel an issued billing code and revert the tax return to draft status.

Previously, taxpayers had to wait the 7‑day billing‑code expiry before correcting a return. Now users can go to Payments → Unpaid Billing Codes, select the relevant code and click Cancel.

Cancellation is processed in about 10 minutes, after which the return status automatically changes back to draft, enabling error correction without waiting for the active period to end.
