Coretax Account Not Activated Does Not Render NPWP Inactive

Jakarta, 3 December 2025 – The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) clarified that taxpayers who do not activate a Coretax account do not change the status of their NPWP to inactive. The statement was posted on Coretaxpedia, the DJP’s official portal.
Account activation serves solely to grant access to digital tax services, such as online filing of tax returns (SPT). Taxpayers with an existing DJP Online account can activate Coretax via the “Forgot Password” option, while new users can register through the “Taxpayer Account Activation” menu.
This clarification removes uncertainty that a non‑activated Coretax account could deactivate a taxpayer’s NPWP. Activation is required only when the taxpayer needs to use DJP’s digital services.
