Indonesia’s Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) reported that material compliance monitoring (MCM) generated tax revenue of Rp57.46 trillion for fiscal year 2024. The amount includes contributions from strategic taxpayers and regional taxpayers.
MCM combines formal compliance research before the fiscal year starts and material compliance research, yielding Rp45.45 trillion from strategic taxpayers and Rp11.9 trillion from other taxpayers. The activities involve tax data analysis of the prior year and on‑site visits.
MCM revenue accounted for 2.97 % of total 2024 tax receipts of Rp1,931.61 trillion, supporting the DGT’s revenue strategy. Key focus areas include national priority sectors, high‑wealth individuals, the digital economy, and transfer‑pricing examinations.
