BKN Urges ASN to Activate Coretax by Dec 31 2025

The National Civil Service Agency (BKN) reminded all Indonesian civil servants (ASN) to activate their Coretax accounts no later than 31 December 2025. The reminder was issued on 10 November 2025.

Coretax will fully replace the Directorate General of Taxes’ Information System (SIDJP) and requires redesign of 21 business processes, including the 2025 personal income tax (PPh) annual return that must be filed through Coretax in early 2026. BKN and the Ministry of Finance have conducted tax‑related briefings and technical guidance to help ASN create and use the accounts. The reform aims to make tax administration more efficient, accurate, and transparent.

An integration of Coretax with the payroll system Gaji Web and the Employee Identification System (SSN) will automatically upload salary data, eliminating manual calculation, withholding, and reporting. Improved compliance should ensure timely payment of civil servants’ salaries and benefits. BKN will monitor account activation and readiness for the 2026 filing deadline.
