2025 Revenue Share Funds Finance MRT, LRT and Ticket Subsidies

Jakarta Governor’s Special Staff, Yustinus Prastowo, stated that the 2025 Revenue Share (DBH) of Rp192.3 trillion comes from taxes collected in the State Budget (APBN). The central government transfers this DBH to the Jakarta Provincial Government to fund transport projects and social programs. The amount increased from Rp143.1 trillion in 2024.
Using the funds, Jakarta is completing the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line from Bundaran HI to Kota Station and expanding the Light Rail Transit (LRT). The official Transjakarta fare of Rp3,500 per ride is subsidized by Rp10,000‑15,000, effectively providing free rides. DBH also finances water service expansion to 80 % coverage by year‑end, scholarships for 700,000 students under the KJP program, and university grants for 16,000 graduates.
The explanation highlights how taxpayers’ contributions finance public infrastructure and social services in Jakarta. Authorities urge taxpayers to improve compliance to sustain these initiatives. The Taxpayers Charter aims to build trust between taxpayers and the Directorate General of Taxes.
