Ministry Confirms Two WhatsApp Numbers for Lapor Pak Purbaya

JAKARTA – The Ministry of Finance warned the public on 2 November 2025 about fraud attempts that impersonate the Lapor Pak Purbaya team via WhatsApp. Scammers use phone numbers other than the two official numbers announced by the ministry.

Lapor Pak Purbaya is a digital reporting channel (WhatsApp) for complaints against staff of the Directorate General of Taxation (DGT) and the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DGCE). Number 0822‑4040‑6600 receives complaints that must include the reporter’s identity, email and case details, while 0815‑9966‑662 is used only for follow‑up communication after a complaint is logged.

Since its launch on 15 October 2025, the channel has logged nearly 16,000 reports, of which more than 13,000 will be further verified, highlighting its role in tax and customs oversight. The public is urged to use only the official numbers to ensure proper handling of reports and avoid fraud losses.
