Government Secures Smooth Mobility and Stable Economy for Nataru

The Indonesian government has prepared a set of measures ahead of the 2025 Christmas and New Year holidays (Nataru) to ensure smooth public mobility and sustain economic growth in the fourth quarter. Cross‑ministerial coordination is being accelerated through the Strategic Program Acceleration Task Force (P2SP), which reviews budget progress and priority programs.
The transport package provides toll‑fee discounts of 10‑20 % on 26 toll sections for three days (22, 23, 31 December) and incentives for land, sea and air transport starting 21 November. Fiscal stimulus under the 8+4+5 package and Social Welfare cash transfers (BLT Kesra) are maintained to protect consumer purchasing power.
Projected at about 100 million domestic trips and 1.3 million foreign visitor arrivals, tourism is expected to generate trillions of rupiah for regional economies, while national sales events such as Harbolnas 12.12 aim to boost retail transactions. These actions are intended to stabilize year‑end growth and attract investment in 2026.
