Government Forms Task Force to Accelerate Strategic Programs

The government has created a Task Force for Accelerating Strategic Programs to keep national initiatives on schedule. The task force is organized into three work groups that will review and optimize budget execution and program implementation. Coordination is led by Economy Minister Airlangga Hartarto.

The task force will monitor several initiatives, such as the 8+4+5 Economic Package, the 2026 stimulus policy, and priority programs like Free Nutritious Meals and the Red‑White Village Cooperatives. The first work group focuses on speeding up budget realization, the second on implementation and removing bottlenecks, and the third on completing regulations. Airlangga stressed that alignment is essential for the programs to deliver tangible benefits to the public.

Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said the task force will accelerate budget absorption and reallocate funds when needed, aiming for a minimum 5.5 % economic growth.
