Finance Minister Allocates Rp20 Trillion to Clear BPJS Health

Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has set aside Rp20 trillion to wipe out all outstanding BPJS Health contribution arrears. The move aligns with President Prabowo Subianto’s agenda to strengthen the social safety net.

Purbaya urged BPJS Health to improve its management and close claim leakage gaps by leveraging information technology and artificial intelligence. He noted the agency already has 200 IT experts and called for an integrated system to screen claims from all health facilities.
